ODKI-VBT case: terms of sale.
Plain terms for a one-off batch of 40 cases. You receive them with the emailed total, and you accept them when you pay.

1. Who you are buying from
You are buying from Lodovico Cortelazzo, a private individual resident in Italy, contact@odki.tech. Our postal address is available on request by email. "ODKI" is the name of the project and product; it is not yet a registered business (no VAT number). This is an occasional, one-off sale of a limited batch. No VAT is charged and no VAT invoice can be issued. You receive a receipt for your payment.
2. What is on sale
The ODKI-VBT case: a zip case designed for the ODKI-VBT sensor, laser-engraved, part of Founders batch 1 (max. 40 pieces). The sensor is not included. The case contains no electronics. It has magnets inside that keep the sensor in place (contains magnets: not a toy, keep away from children under 14 and from pacemakers and other implants). Size about 7 × 7 × 3 cm; it ships in a 10 × 10 × 5 cm cardboard box. Photos on the website are of the actual product. Small differences in the engraving are normal for hand-finished pieces. It is made for the reference enclosure in the public repository (Hardware/CAD ↗); if you built a different enclosure, email us its dimensions before ordering (fit).
3. Availability
Orders open in early November 2026Orders are open until 30 November 2026, or until the 40 pieces are gone, whichever comes first. There is no restock. After that, write to contact@odki.tech if you'd like to hear about a future batch (no payment).
4. Price and shipping
- Case: €19.00 each. Maximum 3 per order.
- Tracked shipping, per order: €9.00 to Italy, €12.00 to other EU countries. We do not ship outside the EU.
- No VAT is added (see section 1). There are no other charges. We confirm the total by email before you pay.
5. How ordering and payment work
- You request up to 3 cases through the form on odki.tech.
- We email you the total and a PayPal "Goods and Services" payment request. PayPal is the only payment method for this batch. We will never ask you to pay as "Friends and Family".
- Your order is accepted when the payment is received. If the batch is sold out before you pay, we tell you and you pay nothing.
- We ship within 7 days of payment to the address shown in your PayPal payment, and email you the tracking number.
6. Voluntary 14-day return
As a private seller we are not legally required to offer a right of withdrawal. We offer one anyway:
- Tell us at contact@odki.tech within 14 days of delivery that you want to return one or more cases. No reason needed.
- Send them back unused and in their original condition within 14 days of telling us. Return shipping is at your cost.
- We refund the price of the returned cases via PayPal within 14 days of receiving them back. The original shipping cost is not refunded.
7. Damaged or defective case
If your case arrives damaged or has a defect, email us within 14 days of delivery with a photo. We will send a replacement (while the batch lasts) or refund you in full, including shipping, at our cost. This does not limit any rights you have by law for defects in goods sold.
8. Liability
Our liability for this sale is limited to the amount you paid, except where the law does not allow such a limitation (for example, intent, gross negligence or harm to people). The case is not designed to protect against hard impacts or water.
9. Privacy
We use your name, email and shipping address only to handle your order, shipping, any return and our tax records. See the privacy policy.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Italian law. This does not deprive you of any protection you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence. If something goes wrong, write to contact@odki.tech: we will reply as soon as we can and try to fix it fairly.
